The index of the one terminal whose role matches any of aliases, or null.
null for no match and for an ambiguous one. Two terminals answering to the same port role is a
declaration this entry cannot address — a SAD1024’s two cascaded sections both carry an
input if a document names them that way — and picking the first would be a guess about which
half the audio enters.
