The same worst-case sum the gate compares, returned as a number.
Exists so a measurement harness can ask what admission predicted and hold it against a
stopwatch, rather than parsing it back out of a refusal sentence — and so the two can only
ever disagree because the model is wrong, never because they were computed differently.
null when a declared model has no price, which is the same condition the gate refuses on.
